Happy Days Indeed. Personally I'd bring the Redback and the James Squire Amber Ale to the BBQ and finish up with the Porter at home before bed.

Have joined The Martini Club in search of The Perfect Martini. Unobtainable perhaps?

Quite an end to the Christmas break!

The Wife, Mary, Rob and I were heading back from a boating trip at Palm Beach with friend yesterday when we were involved in a pretty nasty accident.

A woman tried to turn right when she had the green light across our lanes, without realising that we had green lights as well. As a result she smashed straight into a Holden Statesmen travelling at about 60km, and then into us travelling at about the same speed. We probably came out it the best. The womans car and the Holden were completely written off. Utterly, utterly fucked. Rob's car will require extensive work on the front (axle completely buggered, wheel gone). We aren't sure if the engine mounts were affected. The car was under a year old as well.

The people in the Statesmen were an elderly couple who were pretty badly knocked around. We had to get a few blokes to help get them out of the car as it was smoking a little bit as well. Ambulances took them off to hospital where I think they kept them overnight. The woman driving seemed okay, but she started drinking alot of water soon after the accident. The cops then gave her a breathalyzer FOUR times and which said she was over the limit. They then used another one which gave her as under. Not sure what the effect of drinking about two litres of water prior to a breath test will do. She didn't insurance on her car either(CTP only), so I guess thats karma for you.

The girls were pretty shaken up, and I've got an aching set of bruised ribs today, but everyone else seemed to be okay.

A big shout out to Dee, Steve, Pauline and Tony who left the pub without finishing their meals to come and check on us and drive us home. Cheers guys.

Anyway, everything is okay. Mary and Rob will be without a car for a while, but it could have been much, much worse.

Message for the Kids: Drink and Drive and I'll personally come around and beat your tiny little heads in...
